GENERAL AVERAGE
Accordingly with York-Antwerp Rules, when there is a general average act, all the interests involved in the common maritime adventure must contribute in proportion of the values involved. Our role is to manage the different phases of the adjustment, in accordance with the Rules and the practice.

PARTICULAR AVERAGE
In case of loss or damage we work for the best definition of the values involved and to determine the amount to be indeminified to the Assured. We work with the most important Insurance Companies in order to apply at the best the policies, from the Institute Clauses to Nordic Plan.

LOSS OF HIRE
In case of a loss of income following physical damage to a vessel, this adjustment determines the indemnity on the basis of a generally fixed and agreed daily amount, or on basis of Charter Parties in force, for all the period on which the vessel is stopped.

COLLISIONS
Even though nowadays the on-board equipment allows for greater control of the ship, in the event of a collision it is necessary the presence of the adjuster in order to determine the correct amount of the reimbursement resulting from the event.

THIRD PARTY LIABILITY
Collisions involve opponent vessel's claim both for direct and indirect (loss of use) damages usually covered for 3/4ths by H&M U/Writers and 1/4ths by P&I Clubs: appropriate adjustment dealing with repartition of involved figures is prepared.

RECOVERY
In case of collisions, in addition to Third Party Liability , also accidental damage is paid to the assured vessel, usually paid by H&M U/Writers before litigation or agreement with opponents is concluded : herefrom recovery from opponents at credit of H&M U/Writers is to be adjusted.

SALVAGE
Salvage may be part of General Average claims (Rule 6 Y.A.R.) but recent tendance is to negotiate separately with Salvors by Vessel and Cargo interests, as also provided by new Y.A.R. 2016, and separate adjustment of figures agreed with Salvors is needed.

BUILDER'S RISKS
Vessels or yachts, during construction up to delivery to Owners, are covered by separate policies dealing with different risks which need appropriate adjustment.

YACHT
Yachts, after deliveries to Owners, are covered - whether in navigation or in port - by H&M U/Writers under different condistions: in case of damages suffered by the yacht the adjuster can determine the amount to be indemnified.

In accordance with Italian legislation on maritime average adjusting, our Adjusters
